Orange is the New Black - The Lip Edit

Orange is the new black

Left to right:

1// Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Peach Club: Vivid Peach. Bright. Matte. Long-lasting.
2// Mac Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick in Subtle Coral: they weren't joking around when they called this 'subtle'. Barely-there. Glossy but not too sticky.
3// Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous: Balmy but non-sticky. Medium lasting power. Translucent tangerine colour.
4// MAC Chile: Red/orange. Matte but comfortable. Lovely.
5// Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti: Translucent orange. Lighter in colour with generally less visual impact than Rendezvous. Staying power isn't wonderful. Balmy. Comfortable to wear.

June Favourites

June Favourites

1// MAC Groundwork: I asked for this for Christmas in the hopes that it would make a great all over colour for lazy days, but I was so wrong. This completely disappears into my skin because it is the exact. same. colour. as my eyelids. Nowadays, I just use it as an eyeshadow base, and it seems to do a pretty good job of it!

2// Rimmel Scandal Eyes in 003 Bad Girl Bronze: I love a smudge of colour on the lower lids, and this bronze is beautiful, easy to apply and super long wearing. Get in!

3// MAC eyeshadow in Texture: Perfect crease colour for me. It's also the perfect 'fade-out' colour for when I'm wearing a couple of different brown eyeshadows. I absolutely love this-- as you can see, I've hit pan!

4// Bobbi Brown Liquid Liner in Sepia Ink: There are days when I just don't fancy wearing black eyeliner, so this makes a nice, casual change.

5// L'Oreal le blush in 120 Sandalwood Pink: This was my 'handbag blush', so it lay forgotten in a corner of my bag for about a year... until a couple of weeks ago when I rediscovered it and remembered how much I love the subtle pop of fresh, pink colour it gives me. This is great if I've got a lot going on around the eyes and want to keep everything else muted.

6// Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Frambourjoise... again!

7// Barbara Daly eyeshadow in luxe: I think I first picked this up in Tesco about THREE years ago, and this must be my third pot. This is a soft, subtle bronze with fine shimmer that makes a great all-over-the-lid colour. This is one of the only eyeshadows that I've ever repurchased.

Cambridge Satchel Company 13" Satchel in Oxblood

13" Cambridge Satchel Company Satchel in Oxblood
It's true. I've only gone and brought another Cambridge Satchel. I've been considering a second satchel for a while now but managed to keep the urges at bay; that was, however, until I noticed their Seasonal satchel with beautiful, pale gold hardware, engraved with the company's bicycle logo and name. I mean, just when you think you can't want one enough, they pull a stunt like this. I decided to go for the 13" size on account of it seeming the most practical for day-to-day use, and for the oxblood colour because it's the perfect balance between practical and just a little bit fun.
