FOTD: Shu Uemura Glow on Blush in Medium Peach

DSC_0528

During a long overdue meeting with one of my friends from university, we found ourselves basking in the glory of Birmingham's Selfridges, which seemed to house nearly every single high-end beauty brand that you could think of. It was there that I purchased my very first Shu Uemura product: their Glow on Blush in M561, Medium Peach. Despite not containing any shimmer at all, this blush gives me a lovely glow when I wear it and the colour instantly brigtens my entire facethis is definitely going to be a summer favourite.

MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection

MAC Sea Me, Hear Me Extra Dimension Blush
Standing in MAC on Thursday evening with my boyfriend waiting patiently by my side, I was transported back to my early childhood when Unilever launched their 'I can't believe it's not butter' marketing campaign. Why, you ask? Well, because these were my exact sentiments when I swatched Lorelai, Sea Worship and Sea Me, Hear Me for the first time.

L to R: MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadows in Sea Worship and Lorelai
These three items have been released as part of MAC's new limited edition Alluring Aquatic collection, which is made up of products whimsically described as imitating 'sirens of the deep' in an 'aquascape of shades' allowing you to replicate a 'goddess glow', etc. etc. OTT descriptions aside, however, the colours and textures presented in this collection are stunning. The eye shadows and blushes are described as 'liquid-powder' in texture with 'prismatic reflections' and I think this is definitely befitting. As noted, the shadows are incredibly buttery and become even more impressive when placed in direct sunlight, where they take on the appearance of liquid, iridescent gold.   Please click below to read more!
