Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Honey' and 'Lovesick'

Back in July I bought my first Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Romantic'--you'll find the original review here-- and I loved that; so now, with my new job and a bit of spare change, I've been able to pick up a couple more. I decided to go with Honey and Lovesick this time round, as Honey seems  to be a favourite amongst...well, everyone... and 'Lovesick' reminds me of the 'Barry M's 'Touch of Magic' lipstick that I wear on a daily basis.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Stain Swatches. L: Lovesick. R: Honey.
'Lovesick' is a bright fuchsia  which is quite intimidating at first, but is perfectly wearable if you apply it with a light hand and then blend it in with a finger. Like Barry M's 'Touch of Magic', 'Lovesick' is quickly becoming one of those lip products which I'm wearing everyday. For the low down on texture and staying power, read the original review.

I was excited about trying 'Honey', but unfortunately, it doesn't do much for me. It's a  dusty pink kind of colour, and due to the pigmentation of my lips it just doesn't really show up-- I may as well not be wearing anything but a balm when I'm wearing this colour. I will still wear it, but definitely not for the colour pay-off  This colour is GREAT for a lot of other people, though, so don't knock it 'til you've tried it, I suppose.

  2. I thought I commented on this??? No idea what happened there.

Absolutely love lovesick on you - it really is the nicest shade of pink! I thought it might be too pink so I avoided it, but actually it doesn't look that way at all. You look super pretty as well (as usual!)

    1. Ahhh I hate when you start writing a comment and then something, somewhere messes up and you lose it-- it's always the longest ones as well lol.

Thanks :D It's really nice actually. I wear it pretty much every day but just make sure I really smush it into my lips so that it's more soft and muted ^_^ I wish honey worked for me. Ah well!

    1. Thank you and thank you for following-- despite my lack of updates due to being quite busy at the moment, I was really really excited when I saw that I had hit 100 lol! Nice to think that at some point, 100 people have looked at my blog and liked it enough to follow!

  4. So pretty :) I use the 'Revlon Just Bitten' lip stain pen thingys (the ones that look like a felt tip) and find they last ages :) I'm a teacher too (at a school full of very well put together women!) and not that great at make-up but find that it makes my face look much more 'put-together' all day which is good when I'm in awe of the glamorous women I work with haha.
Have enjoyed reading your blog this year and look forward to seeing more in the new year :) Enjoy your holidays! xx

    1. Thank you! :D
Ah I haven't tried the stain pen thingys (I don't know the read name either lol) but I might do because I used to use the Max Factor version all the time and really liked them. Yess they're so easy to wear and make you feel pulled together instantly even if you're not wearing much of anything else.
Thank you very much for commenting :D I hope you enjoyed your holidays too ^_^

  5. I'm so glad I stumbled across this blog! It's been incredibly difficult finding swatches on lips that are the same color as mine.
